Most people don't like reptiles because they think they are dangerous, slimy and scary. While some reptiles are dangerous when defending themselves, it is also important to remember that they are extremely important to our environment. They have a big role in the food chain and help keep the insect and rodent population under control. Without reptiles, insects and rodents their would be a huge problem for everyone living in the southwest.
